Hawk, PhD, director of the Center for Corporate Rehabilitation, has been selected for a cover feature in the Twelfth Edition of Marquis Millennium Magazine. Concerned with humankind's relation to and treatment of nature, Dr. David L. Hawk served in the Vietnam War and realized how humans truly treated the Earth. After receiving a BArch in engineering from Iowa State University and joint MArch and MCP degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, he pursued a doctorate degree at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1979, he graduated with a PhD in system science and international business. During his studies, he traveled to the Stockholm School of Economics, studying and working on projects related to environmental protection. Between 1975 and 1996, he served the Stockholm School of Economics as a visiting professor in their Institute of International Business, and through his work, he launched a project that analyzed the relationship between industrial practices and environmental deterioration. As a result, Dr. Hawk was confronted by 20 companies and six governments that expressed interest in joining the project.
