Inspired by the experience of her own relatives with special needs, Ms. Anderson set out to start a company where people would be taken care of the way she wished her own family members would be; her own mother, a nurse, also provided inspiration.
Since founding A Better Life Home Care, LLC, in 2019, Ms. Anderson has overseen the company's operations and hiring with the goal of offering top-notch care to elderly individuals. While the business is currently based in the Indianapolis area, her current focus is expanding to several other cities; she hopes to eventually serve the entire state of Indiana and to develop and implement training programs to help other companies better educate their own employees.
Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Ms. Anderson received a 2022 Boss Lady's Award and is active with her local Better Business Bureau. A volunteer within her local community, she is proud to fund and run a food pantry at a local homeless shelter, Power Over Poverty. She volunteers with Cathy's Cupboard, the Salvation Army, and a local women's shelter, the latter being an experience she shares with her daughter, Lashae.
