She is also responsible for building relationships with the Guyanese government, tourism and many other vendors and sponsors in Guyana. Ms. Brown-Walker hopes to pull off Guyana first ever placement at Miss Universe and has developed what she calls the "Avengers Winning OPS Dream Team," to set the next Miss Guyana Universe 2023 up for success.
Alongside her work with the Miss Universe Organization, Ms. Brown-Walker has had a successful 25-year career as a Community Developer and Talent Acquisition Human Resource Leader with record accomplishments creating measurable enterprise-wide community programs and recruitment strategies, which includes event management, social media tools, methodologies, analytics, and data-driven dashboards to support hiring and retention best practices.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Brown-Walker honed her skills in talent acquisition with some of the top organizations in the world, Prince Georges County Government, Verizon, General Dynamics Information Technology, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. In conjunction with her work, she contributes to her community as an executive board member with Brighter, Stronger Foundation and as the executive director of T.E.R.M., The Employment Resource Ministry. An expert in her field, she holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Hampton University and a Master of Science in human resources management and development from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Subsequently, Ms. Brown-Walker expanded upon her vast breadth of knowledge by earning a Master Certificate in leadership development for managers from The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
Throughout her career, Ms. Brown-Walker was named the Best Director Number One in the United States through Pageant Planet in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022 and also received the Global Beauty Award in 2022, for best director and producer. Earlier in her career, her peers recognized her as the Best Director and Best Manager of Talent Acquisition. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride by increasing her first production pageant contestant pool by 65 percent, crowning over 75 queens, eight (8) national winners, one (1) international winner and two (2) Best National State Costume winners. The cornerstone of her success lay in being a people person, as well as her kindness, and her passion for what she does.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Brown-Walker intends to acquire some Miss USA states in 2024 as well as continue doing philanthropic work providing talent acquisition event management and consulting thru T.E.R.M. The Employment Resource Ministry.
