    ATLANTA, GA, July 12, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Penny Collins has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on over two decades of expertise, Mrs. Collins has found much success as the president and chief executive officer of Women in Technology (WIT), which empowers girls and women to excel in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM) from the classroom to the boardroom. In this capacity, Mrs. Collins serves as a transformational leader, meets with executive sponsors and various women's groups, manages business operations and is involved in numerous speaking engagements.

Mrs. Collins initially began her career working in cyber security operations at AT&T, formerly known as BellSouth, from 1999 to 2007. Between 2007 and 2011, she garnered expertise as the chief operations officer of retail service design and a chief process officer at BT. Following this post, she was active as the chief technology control officer at the First Data Corporation, now known as Fiserv Inc., from 2012 until 2019. As a commitment to her field, Mrs. Collins has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance, the Synchronicity Theater and Kiwanis International.

Well-regarded for her contributions to the field, Mrs. Collins has been recognized as Atlanta Magazine's 500 Most Powerful Leaders in Atlanta and has received multiple awards, including the Forever 404 Honors Award from the Atlanta Hawks in 2023, a Women Making a Mark Award from Atlanta Magazine in 2023, a Nonprofit Partner of the Year Award from Sheltering Arms in 2022, a 2020 Outstanding Women in Leadership Award from Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, and a Women in Payments Award for Education in 2019, to only name a few. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud of achieving all her accolades, especially the 2023 Women Making a Mark Award in Georgia. Reflecting on her career, she attributes much of her success to her hard work, diligence and empathy, in addition to her mentors and parents. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Collins aspires to expand the scope of the company to further advance the Single Mothers Program at Women in Technology and hopes to branch out to other states.
