In order to remain abreast of changes in the HOLISTIC WELLNESS field, Dr. Padilla aligns herself with the Self Realization Fellowship, the Kabbalah Center, UNITY for Practical Christianity, the University of New Mexico division of Health Sciences, Science of Mind for Spiritual Living, the NAACP, and the Black Leadership Council for Leadership. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Padilla earned A BS degree in ELEMENTARY EDUCATION from Bethune-Cookman University, an MS Degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, and a Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Subsequently, she became an ordained Metaphysical minister through the Universal Foundation for Better Living.
As an author, Dr. Padilla was a FINALIST in the New Mexico/Arizona Book awards in 2012 and 2013 for two of her books. Through her career filled with highlights, Dr. Padilla is most proud of the clients she helped to navigate through difficulties in their lives. While hard work and dedication have brought her far, she credits her success to being a "spiritual being in a human body". Dr. Padilla's spirituality has empowered her to believe in a Higher Power. She intends to maintain her mental clarity and physical health to continue to serve and be an EXAMPLE to others.
She & her spouse live in Santa Fe, NM with their two cats. They are very proud of their two adult children, Carla Cody, a Magistrate Judge, and Mark Cody, an entrepreneur, and their 3 grandchildren and their 4 great-grandchildren.
