A dedicated education professional with more than a decade of excellence in , Mrs. George has earned distinction as a teacher for Prentiss County School District. For the past nine years, she has focused her efforts on teaching ninth and tenth grade English and public speaking. She also serves as the yearbook advisor, assistant basketball coach and head coach for cross country and tennis. Among her professional accomplishments, she was honored as a STAR Teacher by the Mississippi Economic Council two years in a row in recognition of her stellar work with high achievers and driven students who thrive under her influence.
Before starting her present role, Mrs. George taught 11th Grade English at Kossuth High School for a year in 2007, teaching 23 students who had previously failed the course, enabling them to pass the test after eight weeks of dedicated instruction in grammar and writing skills. To prepare for her teaching career, she earned a Bachelor of Science in education from the University of North Alabama in 2003. Following this achievement, she attained a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Belhaven University in 2020. Well-qualified in her field, she is a certified music teacher.
Also an accomplished athlete, Mrs. George enjoys running and recently completed one marathon and two half-marathons. She was a member of the cross country team for the University of North Alabama and participates in multiple charity runs for her community.
