Prior to taking the helm at The Draycott in 2019, at the young age of 28, Mr. Mason served as executive sous chef at Chateau Marmont for four years. He also held positions with Bar Boulud, Belle House Pershore and Rick Stein and Jill Stein's The Seafood Restaurant.
After growing up in the United Kingdom, Mr. Mason earned a degree in cooking and related culinary arts in 2008 from University College Birmingham, the best culinary school in the country. His family was supportive of his career endeavors, and they continue to be Mr. Mason's motivation for success. He also credits the teachings and support of his wonderful mentors, including Daniel Boulud.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Mason is excited to use his experience to help his current company grow. The restaurant group has plans to open a third restaurant this fall in Palm Springs.
