Ms. Cooper is a human resources professional and management expert celebrating more than 20 years of distinction in her field. She began her educational journey as a student at Christopher Newport University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1996 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in human resources in 1997. In 2004, she earned a Master of Arts in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Cooper has been committed to professional development and lifelong learning throughout her career, and holds an HRCI Professional in Human Resources credential. She is currently working toward a Doctor of Business Administration in industrial and organizational psychology at National University, with graduation anticipated in 2025.
Her career began in 2000 as a human resources generalist for Diamond Resorts International. Building on her experience managing talent in the hospitality and tourism industry, she joined Wendy's International as a senior human resources business partner in 2008. Ms. Cooper left Wendy's International in 2016 to become director of human resources and risk management for Delight Restaurant Group, where she would remain for the next year. In 2018, she accepted a position as a senior regional human resources business partner for Emser Tile. After four years with the company, she moved into her current position with STIHL USA, where she oversees strategic planning, talent and performance management, and employee development as a human resources business partner.
Ms. Cooper credits her success to her tenacity and drive to learn and to the support of her personal and professional mentors. She considers the highlight of her career to be watching the people and teams she has supported grow and excel, and looks forward to continuing to support others in the future. In the coming years, Ms. Cooper plans to finish her doctoral coursework and begin a project management certification in order to better serve the companies and people she works with.
