With a firm conviction that education is foundational to success, Mr. Cohler pursued extensive academic studies. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English and art history from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, an institution where he has served as an adjunct professor on the art department faculty, and in 1994, he completed a Master of Science in historic preservation, architecture and planning at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Mr. Cohler also finished coursework in law at Northwestern University and remains dedicated to acting as a mentor to educate and motivate young people to pursue their aspirations.
Mr. Cohler attributes his success thus far to hard work and a stalwart belief in one's ability to succeed. He counts his participation in multiple exclusive designer showhouses as one of his most notable creative and professional accomplishments thus far, and he was humbled by being invited to speak at the G20 Summit in Seoul, South Korea. He is also a named ambassador for creativity and spirituality with the United Nations and is proud to serve as a member of several non-profit boards and organizations.
Mr. Cohler is an active member of the Kappa Alpha Society and maintains a broad professional network through an affiliation with the International Interior Design Association. Looking to the future, he aims to expand his business in order to secure a lasting legacy for the firm. Moreover, Mr. Cohler plans to research, write and publish additional books based on his deep industry experience.
