Subsequently, he has expanded upon his professional knowledge, becoming a certified public accountant (CPA); Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA); Certified Business Appraiser (CBA); Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA); Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV); Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF); Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA). Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Rafanelli aligns himself with several organizations, including the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; American Society of Appraisers; American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts to name a few.
Outside of his work, Mr. Rafanelli contributes to his community and the industry as the treasure of the Fathers Club at his children's school St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (Bellmore); the treasure of his children's local cub scout pack; the treasure of the Long Island Chapter of the Estate Planners Council; and as a wish grantor through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County. Due to his outstanding breadth of knowledge, he has authored "What It's Worth: Value in Residential and Commercial Construction Companies," and received the Outstanding Member Award through the NACVA. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in being heavily involved with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts as a member of their standard development board and a national instructor.
