This process includes formulating (planning), implementing, and evaluating cross-functional decisions that enable organizations to achieve their objectives. He assumes the role of a "strategist" with the goal of deciding the overall direction of nonprofit, for-profit, educational institutions, or government agencies. As a strategist, Dr. Mincey makes recommendations based upon past trends, a company's current standing within the industry, and projected forecasts.
Dr. Mincey has earned distinction as a senior dissertation chair and senior contributing faculty member for several prestigious universities. He has focused his efforts on facilitating dissertation processes and teaching graduate and doctoral level courses. Several of these courses are within organizational leadership, strategic management, crisis management, research theory, and international negotiations.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Mincey served as a delinquency case management counselor and juvenile probations officer until becoming an academic advisor for the University of Miami and earning a promotion to fiscal administrator. During this time, he also was a consultant, curriculum writer, and subject matter expert/master consultant for several universities. Following this time, he was an educator for the Miami Dade County Public Schools for 15 years and earned Miami Dade County Public School's Francisco R. Walker Teacher of the Year for Alternative Education. He was also admitted as a life member to the Miami-Dade County Teacher of the Year Coalition and to the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society by the University of Miami.
Dr. Mincey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami's Herbert Business School and won the Woodson-Williams-Marshall Association (WWMA) Full Academic Scholarship his senior year. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Business Administration from the Salisbury University Perdue School of Business and gained a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Administration from Barry University. Within the coming years, Dr. Mincey intends to engage in more consulting work by helping universities and non-profit organizations to develop their curricula.
