Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in sales and management in the construction, technology, telecom and textile industries, Ms. Hunter has earned distinction as the Vice President of Business Development with Sensera Systems. She has been with the company since 2015 and has worked hard over the years to build Sensera's brand awareness within the industry. While focusing on client engagement, client expansion and awareness, she has also focused her efforts on participating in panels and speaking engagements at conferences all across the globe, focused on tech trends in the construction industry. Ms. Hunter always an advocate for her clients, is constantly on the go; visiting jobsites, learning about what her clients need and want, presenting Sensera's solution to a wide variety of end users, and bringing valuable feedback to her team. This feedback assists in Sensera's ability to continue to provide excellent and relevant products and services to their clients and to stay a market leader in the ever-changing construction technology space. Additionally, she is a valued member of AGC (Associated General Contractors of America) and ICBA (Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of Canada).
Prior to her current role, Ms. Hunter began her career in telecom as a Senior Sales Associate with Convergys in 1997 and was quickly promoted to Sales Management. Following this position, she took on senior roles with JONVAL Leathers and Furs, Valiant Products, Yellow Book USA and in 2004, she served as the President for Elliott Designz. In 2005 she made a career shift and moved into the construction industry by taking on a role with Schlegel Williams and worked directly under one of her mentors, Bryan Williams, where she became fully emersed in the construction industry. She continued her career in 2012 as a Business Account Executive with Comcast Business Services until taking a role as a National Sales Manager for Sensera Systems in 2015, earning a promotion to the Director of Sales in 2017 and eventually to her current role as Vice President of Business Development.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Hunter has been a featured speaker on many different construction technology panels, has been a Diversity in Construction Ambassador for both NY Build and Chicago Build and in 2021 was listed as one of the award recipients of the AGC Women In Construction Waymaker Award, in recognition of her mentorship efforts in the construction industry.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Hunter completed coursework in Music Performance & Education at Northwest College in 1997. Following that, she released her jazz album, "At Last" in 2000 while attending the University of Northern Colorado where she studied Music Education, Writing & English. In 2019, while still active in her role as Director of Sales for Sensera Systems, Ms. Hunter completed the Executive Leadership Certificate Program at Cornell University. Within the coming years, Ms. Hunter intends to continue focusing her efforts on mentoring other women in the industry, continually learning and growing herself and ultimately to keep pushing the boundaries for women in the technology and construction space.
