How He Overcame Adversity and Built a Successful Life

LOS ANGELES, CA, August 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In a remarkable journey of redemption, Gregory Wings, also known as BlameitonG, has defied the odds by turning his life around after serving 8 years in federal prison.

In 2007 at just 22 years old, Mr. Wings was sentenced to 122 months in prison and ordered to pay $8.5 million in restitution, a sentence that seemed insurmountable at the time. The federal government seized $19.5 million from Mr. Wings, an astonishing amount that had been accumulated through his successful real estate business. The young entrepreneur had just sold his Real Estate Brokerage franchises for $21 million in 2006, while co-owning two nightclubs in Atlanta GA, and co-owning a succesful underground documentary called Crack Heads Gone Wild, which had further established his reputation as a thriving young businessman.

BlameitonG's' fortunes took a sharp turn when he found himself entangled in legal troubles. He was the youngest among his co-defendants, with all others over the age of 30. Many viewed him as a bright and promising individual who had been led astray by older men seeking to exploit his potential.

Prior to his imprisonment, Mr. Wings had custody of his children, making his separation from them an additional hardship. Upon his release in January 2014, instead of being able to immediately reunite with his family, he was required to spend 6 months in a halfway house in St. Louis, MO where he was born and raised. Determined to rebuild his life, Mr. Wings worked four jobs and saved $70,000 in his first year home from prison, laying the groundwork for a fresh start.

In 2015, Mr. Wings established a successful commercial HVAC business in Atlanta, GA which he later sold for an impressive $17 million in 2018. Seeking new opportunities, he relocated to Los Angeles to capitalize on the diversity and inclusion initiatives surrounding marijuana dispensaries. Mr. Wings obtained a license to legally sell marijuana and opened four highly prosperous dispensaries in LA.

However, tragedy struck again in July 2019 when Mr. Wings was the victim of a setup, during a robbery outside one of his dispensaries. He was shot three times and narrowly survived, undergoing extensive medical treatment before making a full recovery. Following this traumatic incident, Wings sold his interests in the dispensaries and relocated his family to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2020.

While residing in Las Vegas, Mr. Wings ventured back into real estate development, acquiring over 37 rental properties and recently purchasing a real estate franchise. Additionally, he supported his wife in launching a luxury hair store and clothing boutique in Henderson, Nevada called 222 Beauty Boutique. According to several credible sources and documents we obtained, Mr. Wings is currently worth $25 million from his investments & business ventures.

In February 2023, Wings embarked on a new endeavor, co-founding an entertainment company called Ternary Media Group with his business partner, Sedote Nwachukwu. As part of their inaugural projects, they have organized a Burna Boy concert in Johannesburg, South Africa, scheduled for September 23, 2023.

Those who know Mr. Wings personally attest to his character and accomplishments, highlighting his role as a devoted father, friend, and mentor. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to educating young black men about the long-lasting consequences of incarceration and the challenges of rebuilding one's life after prison. Despite his efforts, he continues to face unfair judgment from individuals who label him a scammer or fraudster. "These comments usually come from individuals who fail to recognize that his encounter with the law occurred only once in his life, 17 years ago", says Mr. Wings defense Attorney Brian Steel. "Here's a guy that was unfairly sentenced to 10 years in prison, lost $19.5 million of his wealth, missed 8 years of his kids life, and paid $8.5 million in restitution after being released, we should be applauding him, not putting him down or trying to block him from legitimate opportunities".

In recent months Mr. Wings has taken prominent YouTuber CJ So Cool under his wing, helping him establish himself as a successful businessman outside of YouTube and from the looks of things, its working out perfectly for the two of them.

Gregory Wings, once burdened by the weight of his past, has emerged as a beacon of resilience and determination. His remarkable journey serves as an inspiration to those facing adversity, reminding us all that it is possible to overcome the darkest of circumstances and forge a path to success.
