A skilled professional with more than three decades of excellence in research machining, Mr. Cauble has earned distinction as the department chair of machine tool and design technology with Ivy Tech Community College. In this capacity, he focuses on acoustical research for the military, setting an ANSI standard for improving military earmuffs and headsets with his Shock Tube product that he sold to 3M. He also crafts custom parts for local companies while teaching classes at the college and managing other professors and adjunct faculty members. Additionally, he lends his expertise to the advisory board of the new strategic plan the college is developing and is a board member for WorkOne Indiana.

To prepare for his professional journey, he earned an Associate of Science in tools from Vincennes University in 1982. Well-qualified in his field, he holds a journeyman toolmaker license. Also passionate about off-road racing, he was inspired to build his own machines from a young age and developed a wealth of experience as a mechanic.
Within the coming years, Mr. Cauble intends to continue his research as well as his product developments. He has been published by MIT and Harvard for his developed product and the Shock Tbve has been utilized for concussion studies to improve helmets outside of military applications. With such success, he is well-respected in his field and is proud to pass this legacy on to his students.
