In this position, Mr. Nikhil manages diversified portfolios of financial products in electricity markets and hedges customer flow business positions. He utilizes and calibrates security constrained production cost models for the electricity markets and analyzes large sets of data to quantify trading risk exposures and makes decisions related to electricity market price forecasts.

During his tenure as a Senior Consultant at General Electric (GE), Mr. Nikhil's work received extensive coverage in major media outlets such as Business Wire, Automation World, T&D World, Energy Consulting News, GE Press releases, Market Screener, and others. Through his employment with GE, Mr. Nikhil received many accolades and awards, including the General Electric Above and Beyond Gold Award, the General Electric EC Commercial Excellence Award, and others. He was also selected directly by Senior Executives of GE for the Welch Leadership Development Program, which clearly illustrates the veneration amongst his peers. Mr. Nikhil performed extensive studies for power system operators such as PJM and New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), and the study results project to reduce the future average household electricity bill through load payments and system losses. Mr. Nikhil has been a leader in advising and providing consulting services to the power grid operations across the globe on power market restructuring and planning in the US, Canda, Japan, China, Qatar, and Hong Kong. After the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in March 2011, Mr. Nikhil was tasked with building the electric grid models for Kansai Electric Company in collaboration with the University of Tokyo. To minimize the carbon emissions as well as build renewable generation, the State Grid of China partnered with GE, and Mr. Nikhil was handpicked to delegate the team of engineers to work on this massive project for the world's largest utility serving 1.1 billion customers with revenue of $350 billion.

While conducting research at Texas A&M University and Mississippi State University, Mr. Nikhil has worked on several significant studies on US shipboard power systems that have shaped the advancement of US Navy ships. He compared a variety of systems techniques in their ability to reconfigure both terrestrial and shipboard power systems and developed several ways to ensure U.S. Navy ships could continue to function properly and supply critical system energy demand, even if some parts of the ship were damaged. His efforts addressed reconfiguring electric shipboard systems to maintain critical supply for electric lighting, motor propulsion for rocket launchers, and war mission devices.

To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Nikhil completed Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station and earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from the department of electrical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Varanasi). Pursuing his passion for foreign languages, Mr. Nikhil completed a two-year diploma course in German language and one year diploma in Spanish language at Banaras Hindu University. Mr. Nikhil's research publications have been cited over 200 times and viewed over 5,000 times in prestigious journals such as Elsevier Energy, International Journal of Engineering, IEEE Systems Journal, and many more. Mr. Nikhil serves as an expert reviewer for some of the world's largest and most prestigious technical professional journals.
