    COLDWATER, MI, August 29, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Todd L. Brayton has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. A leader in management and entrepreneurship, Mr. Brayton is presently a sales associate for Deister Machine Company Inc. In his role, he is involved in the application aspects of the business. He also relies on his knowledge and expertise to equip the company's screens with as much wear capability and protection as possible for long-lasting durability.

Founded in 1912, Deister Machine Company Inc. is a family-owned company with deep ties to the aggregate industry. Deister specializes in providing high-quality feeding, scalping, and screening equipment.

Mr. Brayton formerly worked for his father's sand and gravel business in Michigan, which he purchased while in foreclosure in 1976. Growing with the organization, he often worked after school and during the summer months during his teen years. After graduation, Mr. Brayton transitioned into a full-time position and remained with the company for 20 years before being sold to SC Johnson, a well-known and reputable construction company. Mr. Brayton was subsequently hired to serve as its regional manager.

Mr. Brayton is also a member and former board director of the Michigan Aggregates Association.

Besides his full-time career endeavors, Mr. Brayton had a passion for cars. He was the champion in the 1984 Skip Barber Racing Series. He also competed in three separate 24 Hours of Daytona IMSA series events, twice finishing the 24th hour race in 4th place competing in the Camel Light class. He raced at famous tracks such as Long Beach California, Laguna Seca, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Road America and Watkins Glen in NY. He became involved as the owner of an independent Indy Car team in 2002. He purchased two cars and several motors and hired a driver intending to compete in the Indianapolis 500. His brother Scott Brayton had a 15-year Indy Car career and won back to back Pole Positions for the Indy 500 in 1995 and 1996. Unfortunately Scott was killed at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1996. His son Hunter also raced in national karting events and raced in Sports Car Club of America in several classes.

Dedicated to charitable work, Mr. Brayton serves as the chairperson for the Scott Brayton Foundation in honor of his deceased brother. The organization funds scholarships and community grants in Coldwater, Michigan.

A proud family man, married to his childhood sweetheart Teresa for 37 years and counting. They have one son Hunter.
