Naturally detail-oriented and mathematically-inclined, she began to make a name for herself as a student at Manhattanville College, where she studied economics, earning departmental honors and a spot on the National Dean's List before graduating in 2006 with honors. Ms. D'Amore continued her education at MiraCosta College, again earning dean's list placement and departmental honors. She completed an associate degree in accounting in 2010, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and was awarded additional certificates in tax preparation and bookkeeping. As a part of her commitment to professional growth, Ms. D'Amore earned a human resources certificate in human resources management and services from the San Diego Employers Association in 2014.
Ms. D'Amore started her career in 2010 as an accounts receivable manager for Surya, Inc., and joined Access Biologicals the following year as a junior accountant and purchasing manager. She continued to diversify her experience, spending a year as an accountant with Toni Leadingham CPA before stepping into financial controller roles with CommNexus and Trade Marker International. Since 2015, Ms. D'Amore has worked independently with clients as a bookkeeper for Love's Accounting, offering a full suite of accounting, tax preparation, payroll, and human resources consulting services. In addition to her work with Love's Accounting, Ms. D'Amore has served as a financial accountant for San Diego Bookkeeping and Accounting since 2016, where her responsibilities include general and forensic accounting, tax planning, and bookkeeping functions.
As an expert in her specialty, Ms. D'Amore is the author of a book, "Bookkeeper School: Pre-QB, How to Save Tax Dollars." It has been profiled by San Diego media outlets, and is a featured co-author and expert on WikiHow. She is a member of the San Diego Equality Business Association and a former member of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, and enjoys volunteering as an art teacher at the Escondido Central School in her personal time.
