A skilled professional with more than three decades of passion for Argentine tango and teaching it to others, Mr. Solis has earned distinction as the director of Escuela de Tango de Buenos Aires. Since 2011, he has focused his efforts on teaching, performing and writing about the history of tango, passing on an appreciation for the art and encouraging his students' connection to the music. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have been one of the judges at the USA Argentine Tango Official Championship.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Solis has been a dance instructor and performer with A Playful Rhythm Enterprise since 1993 and has been the director of the group since 2004. He is also the director for the Argentine Tango School, having joined the institution more than 10 years ago.
Prior to his current roles, Mr. Solis was a professor with Escuela Nacional de Teatro y Titeres de Rosario in Argentina. To prepare for his professional journey, he earned a maestro's degree in dance in tango Argentino in 1983. Following this achievement, he attained a master's degree in Spanish literature and linguistics from Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina in 1994. He is also a valued member of the Association of Argentine Tango Teachers, Dancers and Choreographers.
Within the coming years, Mr. Solis intends to continue improving his knowledge of his art in dance as well as his skills as an educator. He also works as a choreographer for other dancers in competitions and performances. Overall, his goal is to improve the dance industry while helping individuals improve their dancing.
