Since 2004, he has focused his efforts on collaborating with medical practices to help them remain independent, assisting with strategic planning endeavors and handling any issues with legal counsel and contract negotiations. Additionally, he has served as the chief executive officer of Northwest Physicians Associates, PC since 1995.
Prior to his current leadership role, Mr. Armstrong began his career as the director of school admissions for a post-secondary school. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive with the Medical Group Management Association, a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Armstrong is a Past Chair of the MGMA Eastern Section Council of State Leaders and past President of the Pennsylvania MGMA. His participation in these organizations has enabled him to mentor other professionals in his sphere aiming to develop their careers. He is also a member of various state and county medical societies and the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Armstrong earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and management from La Roche University in 1991. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Business Administration from the Katz School of Business and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the Graduate School of Public Health, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
