Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in labor law and civil litigation in Brazil, Ms. Prado has earned distinction as a global life sciences product specialist with Berkley Life Sciences (a Berkley Company). Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on developing the company's multinational department, helping to protect the interests of researchers in the life sciences industry and allowing them to create innovative technologies that aim to improve the well-being of communities and the health of the world's economy. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, she is a community volunteer with a Seção de São Paulo da Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil.
Before her present role, Ms. Prado underwent internships at Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo in Brazil in 2002 and 2003 then with Polícia Civil do Estado de São Paulo in 2004. The same year, she also was an intern with the Federal Labor Justice of 15th Area of Campinas and became a student trainee for Banco do Brasil Americas in 2005. These roles involved volunteering efforts, including helping various groups requiring legal assistance such as children facing issues with their families, women who need protection from violence and other crimes and employees whose compensation rights were violated.
Following this time, Ms. Prado served as an associate junior lawyer of civil litigation with Mandaliti Advogados in 2008 and was a senior civil and labor attorney for Miranda Prado e Tomazetti Advocacia in 2009. In 2014, she became a senior civil attorney for Abramides Gonçalves Advogados and functioned in a similar role for Pipek Penteado e Paes Manso Advogados later that year. She continued her career as a commercial lines and property and casualty specialist for life sciences underwriting with Chubb in 2015. While there, she received a trophy in Brazil for her innovative work involving clinical trial insurance in 2017.
After immigrating to the United States, Ms. Prado became a commercial insurance specialist for the Business Insurance Center in 2020. At the same time, she was as an independent insurance consultant for short term contracts for a year. She then rejoined Chubb as a senior life sciences underwriter in 2021. Over the course of her career, she has also contributed a wealth of written work to the field, including co-authoring "The Effectiveness of Fundamental Rights in Legal Relations Between Particulars: From the Right to Information in Consumer Relations" which was featured in XXIII Encontro Nacional do Conpedi. In 2014, she also co-authored "The Flexibilization of the Principle of Contractual Inalterability Lesive to the Employee for Maintenance of Employment" for Hermenêutica Constitucional.
To prepare for her professional journey, Ms. Prado earned a Bachalerado em Direito in law from Instituição Toledo de Ensino in Brazil in 2006. Following this achievement, she completed a postgraduate degree in labor law at Universidade Gama Filho in 2010 and attained a master's degree in constitutional law from Universidade de São Paulo in 2014. Well-qualified in her field, she holds a specialization in international law and legal studies from Damásio Educacional.
