Mrs. Guy has distinguished herself in the automobile industry as a successful and respected general manager at Coastal Chevrolet-Cadillac-Nissan in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, a family-owned and operated car dealership founded by her grandfather in 1980. Working her way up in the field, she began as an accountant assistant in college. Mrs. Guy was subsequently hired on a full-time basis as a sales associate in 2015. After learning more about the industry, she was moved into the role of marketing manager, finance manager, sales manager, and dealer principal before being named to her present position in 2022.
Attributing her growth with the organization to several significant achievements, including developing best practices, achieving a record-breaking increase in tire sales, and enhancing the customer service experience in the service department, Mrs. Guy looks forward to a bright future. Among her varied goals, she envisions substantial expansion by increasing car sales and exploring franchising opportunities. Mrs. Guy also plans to establish an in-house financing program for customers.
Coastal Chevrolet-Cadillac-Nissan is known for its extensive involvement in giving back to the community. The dealership has supported the Pawleys Island community, promotes local food drives and an after-school program to assist underprivileged children, and has donated funds for a new education program for aspiring automotive technicians at a nearby technical school. Most notably, the dealership contributes 10% of its annual profits to local churches. Notably, Coastal Chevrolet Cadillac Nissan is led by Mrs. Guy's father, David English, who serves as the company's president.
Mrs. Guy graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and management. Shortly after earning her degree, she completed a sales, marketing, and human resources internship at Radisson Blu in Dublin, Ireland, in 2015. Well-qualified in her field, Mrs. Guy completed a program through the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Dealer Academy in 2017.
Mrs. Guy stays well-informed as a member of NADA, where she was also voted to serve as a social chairperson for her academy class. She is also active with the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association.
In light of her accomplishments, Mrs. Guy was recognized in a 2022 edition of Automotive News among its Top 40 Under 40. Grateful for the recognition, she is also thankful for earning the support and trust of her team, many of whom are much older and more experienced.
