Her unwavering dedication extends to her zealous advocacy on behalf of numerous neglected and abused children under the State's care. Notably, she previously held the role of Student Outreach Manager for Birmingham Promise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing college scholarships, internships, and apprenticeship opportunities to Birmingham City Schools students, with a mission to empower them toward economic security, mobility, and prosperity.

Furthermore, Ms. Huffman holds the position of Vice President on the Serenity Grace Transitional Housing (SGTH) Board, a nonprofit organization in Huntsville, Alabama, dedicated to providing full-time foster care services and emotional support to adolescent teens. In addition to these roles, she actively contributes to various school-wide and community initiatives through her generous donations, volunteers her time to read to local elementary school children, and remains a staunch supporter of The Salvation Army Angel Tree program.

Remarkably, her outstanding contributions led to her election as the Chair of the Birmingham Water Works Board in 2023. Notably, she achieved the distinction of being the youngest chair ever elected and the second woman to hold this esteemed position.

Ms. Huffman received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama. She is currently pursuing a jurisprudence doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is the proud aunt to Jayden, Hayden, Kayden, Hope, and Mason.
