Earl Van Einhorn Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

Earl Van Einhorn has garnered acclaim for his contributions to the field of digital art

NEW YORK, NY, October 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Earl Van Einhorn has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing from a rich artistic heritage, Mr. Einhorn has distinguished himself as a luminary in the field of computer-programmed art. Known among his contemporaries as the "Father of Fortran Art," he has utilized the aforementioned programming language and at least 30 others, some of which he created for his own use, to generate highly detailed pixel art. Once printed, his work perfectly replicates the same visual atmosphere as oil paint on canvas, replete with rich colors and surreal vistas.

Unique in the art world for the intricate process that goes into his creations, Mr. Einhorn initially studied electrical engineering but ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics at the City College of New York in 1966. Following this accomplishment, he began his career as a clerk at Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company, where he worked from 1973 until 1980 and advanced to become a master actuarial programmer. His ascent was greatly aided by his knowledge of the Fortran programming language, which he used to perform complex calculations and vastly increase program efficiency and accuracy. Mr. Einhorn went on to serve as an executive actuarial programmer at Federation Pension Bureau Inc. until 2002, whereupon he became the chief executive officer of The Vision of Art with Mathematics until 2012.

Throughout the course of his programming career, Mr. Einhorn put his technical expertise to use in his passion for art, using Fortran and other languages to generate schematic drawings and black-and-white T-shirt designs. When the full-color spectrum, image editing software and higher resolutions became available in later years, he expanded his repertoire to incorporate multidimensional shading and extreme resolutions in order to create an illusory effect. Advances in printing technology and his own mathematical expertise expanded the possibilities even further, allowing Mr. Einhorn's unique work to push the boundaries of what was thought possible in the realm of digital art.

Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Einhorn and his art have been featured in various publications, including Computer Graphics World magazine and The Hand Magazine, among others. In accounting for his success, he largely credits the influence of his family, who instilled in him an early appreciation of artistic expression. Additionally, he owes much to his indomitable spirit and unyielding work ethic, having juggled both his career and education at specific points in order to make ends meet. Likewise, Mr. Einhorn's creative process has rendered him a true master of the craft, and a visionary among his peers.
