Since 2022, he has excelled as an administrative manager and a surgical residency program administrator for the department of surgery at the Trinity Health of New England Saint Mary's Hospital, where he previously served in a variety of roles from 2004 to 2022, including as a phlebotomist, a lead clerical coordinator and an extended care facility transfer coordinator. In his current capacity, Mr. Hodge is responsible for managing the educational needs of the surgical residency trainees, including their board certifications and state, local, federal and institutional tier prerequisites, while overseeing the hospital's surgical trauma and general surgery departments.
Mr. Hodge initially began his career serving in the United States Army from 1998 until 2001. During this time, he was also active as a machine maintenance mechanic at The Platt Brothers and Company from 2000 to 2004. Outside of his main vocation, he has found much success as the owner and operator of GAHodge Photography since 2010. In this capacity, Mr. Hodge is involved in nature, scenery, wildlife, fashion, commercial and editorial photography, while independently marketing and event planning.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Hodge pursued an education at Colegio Americano de Quito, where he obtained a biology diploma in 1994. He continued his academic efforts at the Maine Maritime Academy, completing coursework in marine biology and biological oceanography in 1995, followed by coursework in zoology and biology at the Southern Connecticut State University in 1998. Additionally, Mr. Hodge concluded his photography studies at the New York Institute of Photography in 2012.
As a commitment to his field, Mr. Hodge has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the Association for Surgical Education, the Association of Residency Administrators in Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, he volunteers as a professional photographer for the Brass City Rescue Alliance.
