Drawing on a background of military service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Holland is recognized for his leadership as vice president and co-owner of Seegars Fence Company, a leader in residential, commercial and government fence installation across the southeastern United States. Working closely with three other partners, Mr. Holland is responsible for running day-to-day operations of the Rocky Mount branch, including meeting customers, negotiating contracts and overseeing financials.
Prior to joining Seegars Fence Company in 2020, Mr. Holland served for more than a decade as an engineer in the U.S. Army, where he was proud to be awarded the Bronze Star for leading soldiers in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan as well as Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals and Meritorious Service Medals. Today, he remains a lieutenant colonel in the Civil Affairs Branch of the U.S. Army Reserve, and he considers serving his country to be his proudest achievement. In service to the next generation, he teaches at North Carolina Wesleyan University, and he spent three years as an ROTC instructor commissioning lieutenants as a reservist.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Holland held engineering and facilities positions with Honeywell Aerospace, Freedom Industries and Lydall Incorporated. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction and industrial technologies from Appalachian State University and a master's degree in executive leadership from Liberty University.
As a commitment to his profession, Mr. Holland is active with the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, Tarboro Chamber of Commerce and the American Fence Association. In the coming years, he is excited to see his company become better known for its community leadership.
Outside of work, Mr. Holland leads local mission projects for Nashville Methodist Church, founded the Disabled American Veteran Fence Initiative, and is actively promoting a suicide awareness and prevention program called Operation Angel Wing. Devoted to mentoring and teaching students, he coaches wrestling, cross country, track and field for local schools. In his free time, he enjoys making memories with his wife and three children, camping, running, and working out.
