Before his current role, Mr. Balogun worked in different organizations in Nigeria in various sectors including telcom service providers, information technology, real estate, etc. He worked with Telinno Consulting Limited as a finance and account analyst in 2014. He continued his career as a finance analyst with Microkernel Technologies Limited and became a Finance Manager for Netconstruct Limited in 2016. In 2018, he was the Treasury Manager at HealthPlus Limited for almost two years until taking a role as the Group Finance Manager at Kobo360 Logistics, a tech logistics startup. At Kobo360 Logistics, he was involved in raising series debts and equity to support the finance and operations of the company. He was also in charge of the finance/accounting operations of the group. Mr. Balogun's love for teaching led to him serving as a part-time lecturer at Protrac Associates from 2012 until 2020 teaching courses in financial accounting, financial reporting, corporate reporting and IFRS facilitation.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Balogun earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2010. In 2021, Mr. Balogun left Nigeria for the United States to pursue a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Hult International Business School. During his MBA, he completed an internship with Edra Publishing LLC New York as Finance and Accounts specialist. He worked briefly at Cisco Systems as Supply Chain Finance Analyst before joining Microsoft Inc in Nov 2022. Highly versatile and very interested in being an all-round professional, he became a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), and Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigeria (CITN) among other credentials.
Within the coming years, Mr. Balogun intends to grow his career further to a role in senior management for a Fortune 500 organization. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, he volunteered during his National Youth Service Corp with Youth Aids Health and STD Awareness Campaign.
