A seasoned executive with years of leadership in government at the US Postal Service, and media production, Ms. Neely began her career in media production with CBS Television Distribution. Simultaneously, she served as an executive consultant and certified direct mail specialist with the United States Postal Service and earned an Associate of Arts in Broadcasting from Los Angeles Valley College. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Phoenix and an MBA in Marketing from Walden University. Over the years, Ms. Neely honed her managerial expertise with the United States Postal Service in numerous positions, including district manager of shipping and mailing solutions, director of mailing services, new products, and innovation, manager of major accounts, national lead of political and mailing services, and manager of strategic account development.
Outside of her work with the United States Postal Service, Ms. Neely has fostered a passion for writing, as an author and publisher at Blessons for Living and serves as a columnist for a magazine that is focused on supporting everyday women, providing parental advice. This advice is aligned with Ms. Neely's premier children's book series Blessons for Living. She provides thirty of life's most important lessons for youth. In addition to the 3-book series (Planting Seeds of Greatness, The BEST of BEING and Always Remember and Never Forget), she has written a "Blessons for Living Workbook" and published a book about her daughter entitled "A Girl Named Amaya: She Reached Inside Herself and Found Her Strength." Ms. Neely is of the belief that when one shares their greatest life lessons, one becomes a blessing. She publishes for other authors that are specifically focused on uplifting and enriching others.
In conjunction with her work, Ms. Neely contributes to her community through Jack and Jill of America Inc. where she has served as Chapter President, Community Service Chair, Foundation Chair and Teen Advisor.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field and expand upon her education, Ms. Neely earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through the United States Postal Service. Similarly, she earned a certification as a Professional Life Coach. Ms. Neely aligns herself with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and is a charter member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. In light of her outstanding body of work, she received several distinguished awards from the United States Postal Service. In Jack and Jill of America, Ms. Neely was honored as a "distinguished mother" and under her presidency her chapter earned five-star chapter status and was honored with a Proclamation by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Alexandria VA.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Neely takes the most pride in helping others achieve their dreams. This starts with being a walking example of what is possible. Through her success in business and now her focus on writing children's books, Ms. Neely is focused on helping generations to come maximize their life's purpose.
