For nearly 25 years, Mr. Greene has worked in social services and became involved in the field in order to help other individuals achieve the goals they set for themselves. After earning a Bachelor of Science in consumer studies from the University of Vermont in 1994, he went on to receive a Master of Education in counseling psychology from Cambridge College in 2010. Following his degrees, Mr. Greene joined Community Solutions Inc (CSI), where he first worked as intervention specialist for two years before taking on the role of quality assurance specialist, a position he held for over a decade. For his dedication, hard work, and concern for his clients at CSI, he won employee of the year in 2018.
During his time at CSI, Mr. Greene took on an additional position as a project manager in the Connecticut Department of Corrections, where he stayed from 2017 to 2022. Since 2023, he has functioned as the program director at Noank Community Support Services (NCSS). In his current role, his primary focus is to ensure that the program—which focuses on working with adolescent girls, ages 11 to 18, who are involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF)—runs smoothly; he oversees the budget for the program, which includes the budget for food, program supplies, and office supplies, and supervises two supervisors who oversee the residential advisors. Moreover, Mr. Greene works closely with the clinical director to identify the clinical needs of their residents and help create a treatment plan by coordinating with all the individuals' supports and affiliated services, such as DCF.
In all he has achieved thus far, Mr. Greene attributes his success to a strong work ethic, which was instilled in him at a young age. It was this ethic that motivated him to work his way up in his field and will continue to guide him in the next phase of his career. Through his work, he has encountered and worked with individuals who have been victims of human trafficking; seeing the trauma these individuals have experiences has left a lasting impact on him. To aid these individuals more, he hopes to work his way up through DCF and join the human trafficking unit in the near future.
