Hailing from more than three decades of experience in the field of brand development and marketing communications, Ms. McLoughlin has found success in her most recent role as the principal of McL brand design inc. Guided by McL's central pillars of authenticity, resilience and business savvy, Ms. McLoughlin is responsible for business operations, brand strategy, creative direction, and leading the McL mentor program.
Prior to holding her current role, Ms. McLoughlin worked for more than 15 years at White & Case. Beginning as a design manager in 2005, she went on to become the global director of creative services in 2012, through which she built a team of 35 people seated around the world to support the marketing, design and branding efforts of the international law firm. Most notably, the annual reports and history books her team produced won several industry design awards throughout the years in addition she was recognized as GD USA's people to watch. During this time, she was particularly gratified to work on rebranding the firm as this represented a pivotal shift in her career toward a greater focus on strategic thinking, laying the groundwork for her future as a leader.
Ms. McLoughlin previously served as the vice president of creative operations at Publicis Groupe, where she was responsible for staffing, resource management and vendor relations from 2003 to 2004. Her career began in 1992 as a production consultant at Clarion Marketing. In 1997 at Ryan Partnership, she rose from the level of a traffic manager to a senior producer in 2000. Throughout the course of her subsequent professional journey, her path has been marked by perseverance and an unwavering commitment to quality.
After attaining a certificate in graphic design and fine arts at the Connecticut Institute of Art in 1992, Ms. McLoughlin subsequently took courses in management and business perspectives for creative leaders at the Yale School of Management in 2012. She also earned several certifications from Lynda.com. Outside of her subsequent professional endeavors, she served from 2010 to 2021 as the Vice President on the board of directors at InSource, a nonprofit organization for in-house creative leaders. In this role, she wrote and produced four books on creative leadership, three of which are available on Amazon.
Looking toward the future, Ms. McLoughlin envisions continued success for McL brand design inc., with plans to produce another creative leadership book. She remains committed to learning and growing in her field, demonstrating the same motivation and perseverance that have characterized her remarkable career thus far.
