With more than three decades of excellence as a stylist and in trade work, Mr. Gerhart has earned distinction as the managing director and owner of Migrating Products, Inc. Since 2007, he has focused his efforts on providing stellar import-export services. Additionally, he has been a stylist with LaFace Salon since 2009. Added to this, he authored the children's books "Jungle Ellis" in 2020, titled in honor of his daughter who inspired the work. He also wrote "How Helga Met Her Friends" and "Hero the Humble Hyena" in 2022.
Before establishing his company, Mr. Gerhart began his career as a wheelman and kitchen manager for Perkins Family Restaurants in 1987 and became a manager for DICK'S Sporting Goods in 1988. Following this time, he was a stylist with Joseph Anthony and Co. in 1992 until taking a similar role with Simplicity Salon in 2002 and with C.W. Gorgeous in 2005. He also was a contractor and partner with Full Circle Contracting Inc. in 2016 and an RCA for the United States Postal Service in 2020.
To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Gerhart completed coursework at the Phillips Hairstyling Institute. He also studied ecology at Onondaga Community College and took courses in biochemistry from the State University of New York College at Oswego for a year.
Looking to the future, Mr. Gerhart intends to share his literary works through public readings and lectures, teaching students how to create a successful career pathway through the creative arts. For his own goals, he is dedicated to publishing 60 to 100 books, with three set to publish before the end of 2023. He also plans to create a cartoon series based on "Jungle Ellis." His books come from a passion for instilling moral values in young readers, which he believes is often overlooked in modern children's literature.
