As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on years of professional experience in business, Mr. Sullivan presently serves as an owner of Nathan Bill's Bar & Restaurant, East Village Tavern, and the Boulevard Tavern. Since opening Nathan Bill's in 2013, he has overseen daily business operations, including back of the house and front of the house operations, maintenance, bartending, serving, staffing, scheduling, special events and more. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Sullivan gained valuable expertise with the local Hampden County Sheriff's Department, Department of Youth Services, City of Springfield-Parks & Recreation Department and Vail Resorts.

In conjunction with his work, Mr. Sullivan contributes to his community as president of Jessy's Fight, through which he has helped raise more than $260,000 in honor of his wife Jessy who was diagnosed with a stage 3 brain tumor. Over the years, he has also dedicated himself to the GySgt Thomas J. Sullivan Scholarship Fund, Griffin's Friends, Kamari B Williams Memorial Fund, National Night Out, Celebrate Kate, Wilbraham Senior Center, T.J. O'Connor Animal Shelter, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Rotary Club of East Longmeadow, Lion's Club, Toys for Tots, the Galaxy Community Council, and the East Forest Park Civic Association where he helped raise $30,000 for disaster relief victims after the June 1, 2011 tornado that destroyed his neighborhood.

In recognition of his professional achievements, he received the Mary B. Troy Award for Community Service from the Springfield St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. Similarly, Mr. Sullivan received certificates of appreciation for community service. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in his involvement with Jessy's Fight and D'Amour Center for Cancer Care.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far, Mr. Sullivan attributes his success to the support of his family, friends, customers, staff, and the community. Within the next five years, he aims to focus on his family, teach his children the business, and expand upon his businesses to provide more employment opportunities for others. Likewise, Mr. Sullivan intends to continue fostering his work with the community.
