During the early stages of his education and career as a psychotherapist, Mr. Diorio gained valuable expertise in psychology and counseling with Real Life Counseling Services, Lost and Found Family Counseling Center, the University of Colorado Denver, the Boulder County Department of Social Services, and StandUp for Kids, through which he served as a youth street counselor. Drawing on his vast breadth of knowledge and professional/personal experiences, Mr. Diorio co-authored the book, "The Integrated Self: Your Guide to Authentic Personal and Spiritual Growth."
As demonstration of his expertise in the field of information technology, Mr. Diorio holds an active certification as a project manager professional from the Project Management Institute. Concurrent with his IT career, Mr. Diorio expanded his people related skills by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Regis University and then further expanded his considerable knowledge by earning a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from the University of Colorado Denver. In light of his outstanding body of work at the university, Mr. Diorio was awarded membership to the university's counseling honor society, of which he served as co-president.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Diorio is most passionate about improving his communication and counseling skills, with a life purpose of supporting people through some of the most challenging times of their lives. The cornerstone of his success lies in his relationship with God and the support of his wife, family, and friends. In the coming years, Mr. Diorio aims to utilize his newest literary work to build a platform for motivational speaking and to eventually establish a nonprofit organization that will focus on mental health support and services for all members of society.
