Civically, Ms. Ojo plans to explore job training opportunities to give back to the community via workforce development. She is presently involved with an exciting project to bring West African nurses to the U.S. to work in hospitals. As the daughter of a Nigerian-born immigrant, Ms. Ojo is passionate about charitable work. Besides her involvement with her West African project, she frequently donates to various Nigerian nonprofits. She also contributes to several organizations in the U.S. and is a proud member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Ojo graduated from Alabama State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2011 with a Master of Public Policy. She remains ahead of current trends as an active member of the American Staffing Association.
Attesting her success to Francis Perkins, who worked during Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration, Ms. Ojo became inspired by her work and willingness to take risks. As a woman who pioneered the male-dominated workforce as a U.S. Secretary of Labor, she profoundly impacted her.
