    NEW YORK, NY, November 20, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas J.R. Stadnik, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than three decades of excellence as a principled attorney with expertise in foreign legal systems and international legal matters, Mr. Stadnik has earned distinction as an associate counsel of global surety for AIG. Since 2013, he has focused his efforts on reviewing documentation related to surety transactions, including proposed bond language and the responsibility to draft indemnity agreements and negotiate those with their customers. He reviews various project documents to determine whether negotiations might be necessary with a focus on corporate cross-border transactions. Additionally, he is a valued member of the Louisiana Bar Association, is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York, and is a member of the American Bar Association, among other professional organizations. Also dedicated to civil advocacy, he was active in the AIG pro bono program and is a deacon for his local Ukrainian Catholic church.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Stadnik served as an associate international counsel for the American International Group from 1986 to 1992 and became a senior Western associate for Weil Gotshal and Manges LLP in 1993 in their Warsaw, Poland office. Following this time, he served as a principal jurisconsult for his firm, the Law Office of Thomas J.R. Stadnik, from 2002 until 2013. During this time, he was also a legal editor for LexisNexis Matthew Bender from 2008 until 2014 and an attorney jurisconsult for AIG Property Casualty from 2010 until 2013.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Stadnik earned a Bachelor of Arts in international relations, classical civilization and history from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. Following this achievement, he attained a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and a Certificate in Civil Law and European Community Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, both in 1976. He subsequently gained a Juris Doctor from Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law in 1979 and a Masters in Civil Law from Tulane University Law School in 1981. In 1987 he obtained his Master of Arts in Jurisprudence from Oxford. He also graduated from a diaconate formation program from St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Seminary in 2002.

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Stadnik was named a Weiner-Anspach Scholar and received an Amjur Award in Admiralty. He is also proud to have participated as an instructor in two ILEX presentations to train lawyers in Bulgaria, training sessions for junior lawyers in Poland, and has successfully trained junior underwriters in surety legal matters at AIG. Additionally, he was a speaker on cross-border surety issues at two sessions of the ABA-TIPS Conference on Fidelity and Surety Law in New Orleans in 2017, the first dealing with structuring cross-border surety transactions and the second on crafting international indemnity agreements.. He has served as a Chaplain for the Boy Scouts of America members of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Stamford, and served on the local Brooklyn-Queens Catholic Committee on Scouting.
