In conjunction with his work, he contributes to his community by volunteering with Tarrant Area Food Bank, Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, and Toastmasters International. Before embarking on his professional journey, he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and corrections from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1999. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Intelligence Operations (Honors) from Cochise College and an executive MBA with Distinction from the Jack Welch Management Institute.
