An expert in her field, Dr. Hedgepeth earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Maryland College Park and a master's degree in adult and distance education from the University of Phoenix. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a PhD in public policy and administration from Walden University in 2020. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Outside of her work, Dr. Hedgpeth contributes to her community as a volunteer at her church and security coordinator for various organizations. She also teaches criminal justice courses at 3 universities.
