To prepare for his career, Mr. Dey studied at the International Institute of Hotel Management in India between 1994 and 1997. He subsequently received a restaurant, culinary, and catering management diploma from Le Cordon Bleu Paris in 1999, specializing in French cuisine under the tutelage of several Michelin chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, Alain Ducasse, and Jérôme Tauvron. Furthermore, Mr. Dey is Serve Safe Management certified.

Mr. Dey has been the recipient of several accolades highlighting his success. He received a Best Young Chef Award of India and then two times winner of "Best London Restaurant Award" from two different restaurants, VAMA, and L'etranger. Mr. Dey also made several television appearances on Good Morning Texas, Good Morning Dallas, Good Morning BBC, and Beat Bobby Flay, among others highlighting his career.

Mr. Dey is an experienced entrepreneur who has devoted his career to culinary arts. As the owner and head chef at JK by Chef King, he is lauded for his culinary skills in Asian cuisine. Teaming up with his business partner, Josh Balan, the two created a unique and vibrant restaurant in the heart of Oklahoma City in 2023.

Offering a unique and lavish décor, JK by Chef King is set in a garden-style atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. In addition to providing traditional lunch and dinner hours, Mr. Dey hosts private affairs on-site and off-site catering options. Moreover, his restaurant transitions into the Lounge & Le Club on Friday and Saturday evenings from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., featuring live music and dancing.

Bringing a wealth of experience to his dining establishment as a Michelin-trained chef, Mr. Dey strives for perfection. Very hands-on, he spends his mornings preparing for lunch and evening meals while also collaborating with his sous chefs. Additionally, he works together with his business partner, who excels in the customer service area and manages all front-of-house operations.

Having first met in London, England, Mr. Dey and Mr. Balan have many years of experience in the restaurant industry. Mr. Dey's overwhelming success has notably included working in numerous renowned fine dining establishments worldwide. He spent a decade in various European restaurants, including London and Paris. He also spent time in Dubai, followed by Tokyo, where he learned Japanese cooking techniques. Moreover, Mr. Dey gained experience in Bangkok, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia to explore additional Asian cuisine.

Gaining more than 25 years of experience in the kitchen, Mr. Dey previously found success as a corporate chef with Lombardi Family Concepts Inc based in Dallas, Austin and Houston for over 5 years, also as the chef de cuisine at the Artisanal Fromagerie & Bistro in New York City. He also served as the executive chef at Buddha-Bar Worldwide in London, as the executive sous chef at ZUMA Restaurants in London, and as the executive chef at L'etranger Restaurant, in London, among other roles. While working in these organizations comprising a mix of French-European and Japanese cuisine, Mr. Dey developed a passion for a Contemporary Asian-style recipes.

Adamant about the importance of giving back, Mr. Dey has been involved in fundraisers to support Save the Children UK, including hosting a charity dinner. He also contributes to a local children's hospital. And for his love for animals, he regularly gives donations to local charities such as Comanche County Pet Resource Foundation and Lawton Humane Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals. He has another business/passion, CK Pet Resort and Spa in Lawton, Oklahoma; which is run by his partner Brandon Moor.
