NEW YORK, NY, November 27, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Renée S. Edelman, senior vice president of Edelman, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the New York City regional edition of Fortune magazine.

Supported by nearly 40 years of professional growth, Renée S. Edelman is a senior vice president, handling special projects at Edelman, a global communications firm that partners with businesses and organizations to evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations. She has served since 2014 as a member of the board of directors of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Edelman and Zeno Group. She worked for most of her career in Edelman's global technology practice, counseling technology and internet companies as a senior media strategist. In 1996, she created the new media group at Edelman. In 1998, she helped found PR21, now operating as Zeno Group, created as the second PR firm of DJE Holdings.

Before joining Edelman, she worked as a reporter for the Central Jersey Home News from 1982 to 1985, and as a news assistant for the New York Daily News in City Hall from 1980 to 1981. Outside of her professional responsibilities at Edelman, she enjoys recruiting recent college graduates and rising college seniors to Edelman's summer internship program. She is a member of the Women's Leadership Circle at Phillips Exeter Academy and served on the board of directors of the Children's Museum of Manhattan from 1994 to 2021.

Ms. Edelman attributes her success to the support of mentors — her family, colleagues, and journalist friends and professors. She contributed to the book, "Edelman and the Rise of Public Relations," by writer Franz Wisner, released in 2013 for Edelman's 60th anniversary. Ms. Edelman is working on an article about her mother's courage in overcoming bipolar disorder in the 1980s and 1990s by advocating for herself and others diagnosed with the condition and lobbying in the U.S. Congress to raise funds for mental health research. In her role as the company's archivist, she developed content for the Edelman Museum in Chicago, which opened in celebration of the company's 70th anniversary (October 1, 2022). She is working with an internal team to create a digital Edelman Museum Experience. Ms. Edelman is inspired by poet Robert Frost's line, "The best way out is always through."

Ms. Edelman earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Yale University in 1977. She received a Master of Science in journalism from Columbia University in 1980.

Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Edelman is especially proud of being honored with her family by the Children's Museum of Manhattan.
