Prior to commencing his real estate career, Mr. Anderson spent 15 years in the retail and customer service sector, working for companies including Crocs Inc. and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and seven years as the owner of an insurance agency, The Thad Anderson Agency LLC. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced many businesses to rethink their models, Mr. Anderson pivoted to real estate, becoming a licensed realtor in the state of Nebraska and director of agent acquisition and retention for a local boutique brokerage.
Originally from the Detroit metropolitan region, Mr. Anderson earned an Associate of Arts degree in liberal arts from St. Clair County Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management from Walsh College. At the age of 31, he took a leap of faith by moving to Nebraska; undaunted by the fact that he knew fewer than five people in a state where the bovine presence outnumbers the human, he took a significant risk, leaving behind his family and friends to embark on a new career path. Once in his new home, he supplemented his formal education with extensive professional development, including real estate pre-licensing from the Larabee School of Real Estate and insurance licensing from Nebraska's Department of Insurance.
While his career path was undoubtedly paved by his impressive educational credentials, Mr. Anderson credits his mother with much of his success. A longtime educator, Cindy Anderson has served as her son's rock, mentor and role model through her words and actions, including her active participation in the Daughters of the American Revolution, her enthusiastic membership in her church choir, and her passion for unearthing clues about her family history dating back to the Revolutionary War.
A volunteer within his local community, Mr. Anderson has, in turn, volunteered his time for a number of charities, including SELFiD, Sammy's Superheroes Foundation, Habitat for Humanity Capital Region, and the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and attending sporting events and concerts.
