Mr. Turk is a civil litigator who has dedicated his career to the goal of providing excellent client service with an emphasis on responsiveness and flexibility. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Turk earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Arizona State University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then attended the University of Washington School of Law, graduating in 1992.
Mr. Turk serves as the Chair of the Litigation Department at Rose Law Group, pc, the largest woman-owned law firm in Arizona, where he is a partner. As the Department Chair, Mr. Turk provides oversight, assistance, and mentoring to the other litigators and paralegals at the firm. Prior to accepting his current position, Mr. Turk worked for a number of regional and national firms including Clark Hill, PLC and Polsinelli where he honed his skills as a litigator.
Mr. Turk focuses his practice on litigation. He represents professionals, including physicians and nurses, in professional liability litigation and in front of their licensing boards. He also assists clients with complex business litigation regarding trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contract and business divorce. He regularly serves as lead counsel in complex trials. Mr. Turk also has a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution. He has been a volunteer judge pro tem for the Superior Court since 2001 and has been on the American Arbitration Association's mediation and arbitration panels since 2017.
Mr. Turk's excellence in his field has been acknowledged many times over. He has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. He has been selected for inclusion in America's Best Lawyers and Southwest Super Lawyers every year since 2013 for his work in commercial litigation. More recently, Southwest Super Lawyers has recognized him for work in construction law and association law. Arizona Business Magazine named Mr. Turk one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona in 2016 and 2020. In 2017, 2019, and 2020, he was honored as a Business Leader by AZ Business Leaders.
Mr. Turk is a frequent speaker at seminars and bar conventions. He has been an adjunct member of the faculty of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University since 2013. He teaches Civil Pretrial Procedure to second- and third-year law students. Mr. Turk has also authored numerous articles and has contributed chapters to publications such as the Arizona Litigation Guide. Throughout his career he has served on committees and sections of both the Arizona State Bar Association and the Maricopa County Bar Association, most recently.
Mr. Turk's passion for the practice of law is unabated after more than thirty years. He hopes that he will be afforded more opportunities to bring his knowledge and experience to bear as a mediator and arbitrator as he enjoys assisting parties with the resolution of claims.
