Mr. Simon collaborated on two Academy Award-winning films as a make-up artist. He has been a story artist, illustrator, and principal at Thinkwell Studios since 1993. Passionate about storytelling, he has become renowned for creating unique and beautifully designed storyboards, conceptual designs, animation, and illustrations for preproduction with advertising and feature films. Working with numerous industry leaders throughout his career, Mr. Simon's portfolio of work has spanned film, commercials, and books. He has also been involved in art and fine arts.

Expressing an interest in illustration early on, Mr. Simon became a freelance illustrator shortly after graduating high school. Several years after earning his degree, he began exploring film, television, and animation. Relocating to Los Angeles, Mr. Simon immersed himself in the industry and began working for some of the most talented artists in the business.
In his spare time, Mr. Simon has been engaged in several volunteer roles, including as an instructor for Foundations in Art, where he teaches the youth ages 10 and up in drawing, painting, sculpture, and art education. Previously, he served as a first responder and volunteer with the Ambulance Corps.
Mr. Simon graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1984 with an associate degree in illustration. He also received credentials in the health care sector as a nationally registered emergency medical technician through the University of California at Los Angeles and as a basic life support instructor through the American Heart Association. More recently, Mr. Simon studied painting and sculpture at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Arts between 2018 and 2019.
As a testament to his success, Mr. Simon received acknowledgment from renowned Academy Award-winning makeup artist Rick Baker as part of the crew for collaboration on two Academy Award-winning feature films for best makeup effects in "Men in Black" and "The Nutty Professor."
