Craig R. Ameduri Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Medicine

Major Craig Ameduri channels years of expertise to his work with the Texas and Pennsylvania Air National Guard, the United States Air Force, and the Department of Defense



Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to working seamlessly with others; emergency medicine is a team sport.

    SPRINGFIELD, VA, December 13, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Craig Ameduri has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As a seasoned medical professional with years of expertise in the defense industry, Mr. Ameduri serves as a clinical consultant with the Air Force Medical Agency as part of the counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) branch. In this capacity, he provides oversight and guidance for all Air Force medical CBRN responses stateside and in the expeditionary environment. He also serves as an emergency medicine physician assistant with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard as part of a CBRN Enhance Response Force Package (CERFP). With the state's Air National Guard, he oversees critical triage and assessments; provides treatments during disaster events; coordinates operations for CERFP team members; and supervises assessments for the unit's capabilities. Additionally, Major Ameduri spearheads planning and instruction initiatives for Detachment's training requirements as a BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TCCC instructor.

Previously, he honed his expertise in patient management, humanitarian relief, acute and emergency care in various physician assistant roles with CareNow, U.S. Acute Care Solutions, the Methodist Health System, the Texas Air National Guard, the United States Air Force, and the United States Army. Through the United States Army and Air Force while on active duty or as a contractor, Mr. Ameduri provided primary, acute, and emergency care for active-duty members, retirees, and dependents. He managed care in trauma settings for the Brooke Army Medical Center and the emergency setting for Methodist Hospital Northeast, and Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas. At Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Ameduri provided leadership as a Healthcare Administrator and a Joint Base Wing Executive Officer. Similarly, Mr. Ameduri has worked as a radiologic technologist in the emergency room and operating room with The Cleveland Clinic, and as a front desk representative for The MRI Center in Toledo, OH.

An expert in his field, Mr. Ameduri earned an associate degree in general studies from Mercy College of Ohio. Subsequently, he expanded on his professional knowledge, receiving an Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from his alma mater. He also earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska's Medical Center through the military's Interservice Physician Assistant Program.

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Ameduri maintains affiliation with the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Air Force Physician Assistants. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments and deployments, he won 2 Meritorious Service Medals, a Commendation Medal, and an Achievement Medal from the U.S. Air Force among several other military awards and decorations. Likewise, Mr. Ameduri was honored with a Humanitarian Medal for his quick responses during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Ameduri derives the most fulfillment from his ability to help others as a provider, leader, and officer. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to working seamlessly with others; emergency medicine is a team sport. Looking ahead, Mr. Ameduri intends to become a lieutenant colonel and continue fostering his medical practice and leadership to support his fellow military brethren.
