Mr. Cameron is a marketing executive and entrepreneur celebrating more than 40 years of success across ventures. A natural creative, he holds a Bachelor of Science in broadcast production and theater from Emerson College, and was drawn to marketing and branding as a way to merge his unique perspective with his strategic abilities.
By 1983, Mr. Cameron was an account executive for Interface Video, leading him to positions as vice president of sales for Atlantic Video and director of corporate communications at Limelite Video. He accepted a graphic producer position with Century III at Universal Studios in 1993, and between 1995 and 2002, he served as vice president of business development for Broadcast Video, Inc. and Deep Blue Sea. Mr. Cameron continued to excel in executive leadership roles in the media industry, becoming vice president of business development at Five Star Productions in 2002, at VTA in 2004, and at Thirdeye Design Group in 2006, netting a Telly Award for his work with Five Star Productions. He was named director of business development at Upstairs, LLC in 2007, departing the following year to join the new business development group at Media One, LLC. and Lava Studio. Mr. Cameron maintained an affiliation with Lava Studio for the next five years, quickly rising to become director of business development. Since 2011, Mr. Cameron has held his current position as a digital strategist at Lead Me Media, an email marketing firm serving the needs of clients across a broad spectrum of industries.
In addition to his work in media and advertising, Mr. Cameron is a hemp industry entrepreneur with key roles in multiple family-owned companies. Since 2008, he has been the president of Tree Froggie, Inc., a family hemp farm and retailer of CBD-infused wellness products. Mr. Cameron has been involved in Hemp Family Farms, a multi-generational family business created by his mother and sister as a part of North Carolina's pilot hemp farming project, since 2020, serving as vice president of sales and product development before moving into a chief executive officer role in early 2024. Mr. Cameron is passionate about the ecological, industrial, and wellness properties of hemp and hemp derivatives, including textiles, paper, and building materials, and is the author of "The Green Explosion: Help Us Light the Fuse to Save Our World," a book about the burgeoning industry.
Mr. Cameron considers his communications skills, positive outlook, and sense of discipline to be the keys to his professional success, and he looks forward to continuing to work with his family to expand Tree Froggie, Inc. and Hemp Family Farms in the coming years. In order to remain at the cutting edge of his fields, he is a member of the South Florida Interactive Marketing Association, the Southeast Hemp Association, and Cannabis LAB. In his personal time, Mr. Cameron is active in his community as a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association and a supporter of the Miami Rescue Mission and The Caring Place. A fitness enthusiast, he relaxes by working out, cycling, and scuba diving, and enjoys listening to reggae music.
