She attended Virginia Tech, graduating in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in biology, and continued her training at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, which awarded her a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1986.
Dr. Fenwick began her career working in local veterinary practices and developing her skills as a provider. In 1990, she established her own practice, Breton Veterinary Hospital, offering a range of preventive care in addition to acute and emergency services. The clinic quickly expanded beyond its original location, and currently operates in a custom-built, state of the art facility enabling more patients to receive high-quality care. In 2004 Dr. Fenwick attained accreditation for her practice through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. Only the top small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have achieved accreditation by the Association. Dr. Fenwick is also a Fear Free Certified Professional.
