Recognized for more than 20 years of contributions to the fields of land development and civil engineering, Ms. Escobedo has achieved professional success as principal of CIVIL 360 LLC, a provider of civil engineering and planning services in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Working primarily with private developers, she is licensed as a professional engineer by the Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and also practices in six other states, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and Tennessee.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Ms. Escobedo earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Widener University and a master's degree in transportation and highway engineering from Purdue University. She has lived and worked in Las Vegas since 2000, when she relocated there to bring her talents — then, as a roadway engineer — for the Hoover Dam Bypass project. While she enjoyed the project, as well as her previous work on the Las Vegas Strip, she found her interests shifting to land development, leading her to hold positions in that field eventually service as the Regional Manager for Collins Engineers.
As a commitment to her field, Ms. Escobedo has been active with several industry-related organizations. These include the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Looking toward the future, she hopes to expand CIVIL 360 including satellite offices in other states.
Ms. Escobedo attributes her success to her strong work ethic and passion for her job, which she views as an integral part of her identity. She enjoys motivating and mentoring others and believes that anyone, regardless of their circumstances, can achieve their goals; she is highly supportive of her small, but hardworking, staff, who consistently strives to deliver exceptional client service and quality deliverables.
Over the years, Ms. Escobedo has come to consider Las Vegas her home; it was there that she raised her three smart and self-sufficient children: Samantha, 22, Trenton, 18, and Hannah, 17. Having left her mark in the city's landscape, Ms. Escobedo takes deep pride in seeing the many projects around town that she played an integral part in developing. In her free time, she enjoys taking advantage of all that the city has to offer, including attending hockey and baseball games, spending time with family, and traveling.
