Mrs. Cummings has served in the federal acquisition career field since 1977 in various positions such as procurement analyst, contracting officer, small business deputy, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) representative, among other positions, while working for the U.S. Custom House, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
As the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit, Secret Miracles, Inc., Mrs. Cummings, along with volunteers, not only provides support services to students in the areas of college prep, career planning and entrepreneurship, but other areas of support such as scholarships, training, internships, and other support programs. Over the years, Mrs. Cummings has been invaluable in serving others throughout her federal career as well as in her community and the non-profit industry.
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Mrs. Cummings earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Northwood University and her master's degree in public administration from Troy State University, and holds an active Real Estate license in the State of Georgia.
In continuing her desire to serve and assist others, she is a Corporate Partner with the non-profit, Women Into Networking (W.I.N.), a business networking community specifically designed to empower women and those who support them in business by fostering connections, collaboration, and professional growth.
As a life-time member of the non-profit, Blacks In Government® (BIG), organized in 1975 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization under the District of Columbia jurisdiction in 1976, Mrs. Cummings continues to support BIG's goals which are to promote EQUITY in all aspects of American life, EXCELLENCE in public service, and OPPORTUNITY for all Americans.
