CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY, January 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eric C. Rubinfeld, OD, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than three decades of excellence in medical optometry, Dr. Rubinfeld has earned distinction as the owner and president of Westchester Eyes located in Yonkers and White Plains, NY. Since 2018, Dr. Rubinfeld has focused his efforts on treating patients with ocular surface, eyelid and eyelash diseases. Dr. Rubinfeld focuses on research and development to identify and develop optimal homeopathic treatments, pharmaceuticals, supplements, technology and other products for patients. Not content with personal success, Dr. Rubinfeld plays a crucial role in shaping the future of optometry. He supervises and trains a team of four optometrists and eight medical technicians at Westchester Eyes, extending his expertise to mentor students at the State University of New York College of Optometry. Through organized tours and insightful question-and-answer sessions, he inspires and guides the next generation of optometrists.

Prior to his current roles, Dr. Rubinfeld began his career in private practice and, later as an optometrist with Cohen's Fashion Optical. Dr. Rubinfeld served as the president of Precision Optical Products from 1998 until 2003 and in 2004 became the owner of the first foreign owned Wal-Mart Optical location in Shenzhen, China. That same year Dr. Rubinfeld became the president of Boss Optical Lens Company in Hong Kong; from 2008 to 2018, Dr. Rubinfeld was chief executive officer for Cadillac Lenses/Boss Optical in Hong Kong, Japan, China, Taiwan and Miami. Dr. Rubinfeld worked as the medical director and chief strategy officer for Cohen's Fashion Optical from 2012 until 2014 and returned to serve as the chief strategy officer in 2017. Dr. Rubinfeld served as chief executive officer at Bristol Medical for seven years.

Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Rubinfeld has obtained at least four patents resulting from his extensive research and development efforts; including a dry eye device, an ophthalmic lens designed to address issues related to eye coordination imbalance and fast-track review of COVID-related platforms, facilitating remote visual acuity and color vision testing. Dr. Rubinfeld is a valued member of the Westchester-Rockland-Putnam Optometric Society, the Optometric Extension Program Foundation, the New York State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Rubinfeld earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Adelphi University in 1983, followed by a Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 1987. Dr. Rubinfeld subsequently gained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong in 2011.

Looking toward the future, Dr. Rubinfeld envisions a generational legacy with his practice, starting with his younger daughter's pursuit of a career in optometry. As part of this vision, he oversees the construction of a cutting-edge 6500-square-foot Optical facility in White Plains, NY. During this time, Dr. Rubinfeld studied in Morez, France at Ecole des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Lunetiers where he and his team of artisans acquired a solid foundation in designing and manufacturing handmade eyewear. With a goal to improve and gain autonomy in the personalization and artisanal manufacturing of eyewear, Dr. Rubinfeld's team took tailor-made training courses, led exclusively by Meilleurs Ouvriers de France.

This state-of-the-art location will house Westchester County's inaugural eyewear manufacturing establishment, Morez Eyewear, specializing in custom 3D-printed eyewear and tailor-made acetate eyewear. An integral drive for him to build the manufacturing facility is to give back to US veterans that were injured in combat, that acquired face and head injuries that preclude them from wearing conventional eyewear comfortably. His 3D printed eyewear combined with his remote face and head 3D scanning platform will allow his facility to custom manufacture and donate the eyewear for these deserving veterans.

With an emphasis on the significance of prioritizing others over oneself, Dr. Rubinfeld shows exemplary compassion for his patient's situation. As part of this commitment, he established an insurance company tailored specifically for his patients who are facing high deductibles, to ensure their access to essential eye care, without unexpected additional expenses.
