At Rockstar Wellness, Ms. Hollingshead practices neuro-fit therapy, an innovative approach that combines neuroscience with fitness and nutrition to enhance mental health. Her work focuses on helping clients connect their brains with their bodies to improve awareness of emotional and nervous system responses. This integrative method has proven effective in addressing psychological and mental health issues through increased bodily awareness and exercise. Ms. Hollingshead's career journey is marked by a series of significant roles that have shaped her expertise in trauma and integrative mental health. Currently serving as the substance treatment program manager at the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2020, she oversees programs designed to assist veterans struggling with addiction. Prior to this role, from 2014 to 2020, she was a mental health therapist at the same department, providing counseling services to veterans.

Ms. Hollingshead's dedication to military personnel extends back to her time as a cardiac catheterization technician in the United States Army from 2001 to 2011 and as a senior enlisted medical advisor from 2008 to 2009. Ms. Hollingshead served in the US Army from 1997-2019 in a variety of medical and leadership roles to include leading a small detachment of Military Police. Ms. Hollingshead's expertise is further underscored by her achievements in lobbying with the American Counseling Association. Her advocacy efforts contributed to Medicaid being approved as insurance for counselors and established a job series codes for counselors within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Building upon her professional experiences, Ms. Hollingshead's educational background includes a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, completed in 2014, and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, obtained in 2010. These academic achievements have been instrumental in her success and her philosophy of learning from failure and tenacity toward growth. After retiring from the United States Army in 2019, Ms. Hollingshead pursued her interest in the intersection of mental and physical health. Her personal experiences as a veteran and someone who has been in recovery for 18 years have deeply informed her approach to helping others, particularly veterans dealing with trauma and substance abuse.

Ms. Hollingshead's commitment extends beyond her professional duties as she actively contributes to her community through various initiatives. She donates her time and resources to [Ruck] It Up For Warriors, a nonprofit aimed at reducing veteran suicide; provides pro bono services for uninsured individuals, especially veterans; participates in local business networking events that support community clean-ups and clothing drives; and supports substance abuse and domestic violence causes. Additionally, has been involved with the Cub Scouts earning the Salt of the Earth Award. These activities not only reflect her dedication to service but also contribute to her distinguished career, which has earned her various military and volunteer awards.

In her personal life, Ms. Hollingshead is planning to establish a private practice while balancing time spent with her son and enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, camping and attending concerts. Looking ahead, Ms. Hollingshead envisions passing on her counseling expertise and opening a residential living facility that adopts a holistic approach to client care. This facility would not only offer comprehensive treatment but also provide transitional housing for those needing support to reintegrate into society successfully.
