Ric E. Todd has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ric E. Todd is recognized for his expert leadership of Ricart, Inc.



Since 2007 he has focused his efforts on teaching visual arts, textiles and art history.

    SAN DIEGO, CA, January 16, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ric E. Todd has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With more than two decades of excellence in visual arts education, Mr. Todd has earned distinction as the owner of Ricart, Inc. Since 2007 he has focused his efforts on teaching visual arts, textiles and art history. He also engages in his own creative projects in photography and three-dimensional work. He aims to help students understand the significance of art galleries and museums worldwide, including taking them to galleries and museums in Los Angeles and San Diego.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Todd earned an Associate of Arts in visual and performing arts from Mott Community College. Following this achievement, he attained an Associate of Arts in visual arts and education as well as a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Western Michigan University. He subsequently gained a Master of Arts in the same field, also from Western Michigan University.

In 1987, Mr. Todd moved to San Diego and began working on the project "Young At Art" to return art to students in public schools. This led to teaching more teaching assignments in the Community College District and other community organizations. He also served as President of the San Diego African-American Museum of Fine Arts, Chaired Region 5 of the California Assembly of Local Arts Agencies, and received a Coro Fellowship from the California Arts Council and California Cities programs. Mr. Todd served as coordinator of arts and culture for the City of Chula Vista from 1995 until 2007. Among his professional accomplishments, he received-an award from the Sweetwater School District as well as a Special Commendation for Exemplary Work in San Diego. He is also proud of his six-month experience of learning, observing, speaking, and traveling throughout Europe, where he immersed himself in architecture and various cultures while skillfully assimilating with the local populace. Upon his return to San Diego, he shared his newfound knowledge with his students, who have always been his priority with his work. In 2021 he received a Special Commendation from the County of San Diego for all his work supporting the county's local communities.

Looking to the future. Mr. Todd intends to work closely with the Ports Public Art Committee, aligning their work with his vision for educating his students. Additionally, as a member of the Chula Vista Library Foundation Board, he is deeply rooted in the city, which is currently witnessing significant development.
