Jacqueline K. Weber Honored for Achievements in STEM Education

Jacqueline K. Weber is an educational consultant and computer science specialist working with school districts across the nation.



As a part of her dedication to lifelong learning and creating change in her field, Ms. Weber is currently pursuing doctoral study in STEM education at the University of South Carolina.

    BENNETTSVILLE, SC, January 16, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jacqueline K. Weber has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Weber is an educator, curriculum specialist, and computer science expert who has dedicated her career to improving access to and quality of STEM integration in K-12 schools. Raised by a family of teachers, Ms. Weber decided to follow in her parents' footsteps at a young age, and by high school, she aspired to a career in educational leadership. In 1997, she completed a Bachelor of Science in secondary education, mathematics, and history at Wright State University, and in 2001, she was awarded a Master of Education in K-12 administration with an emphasis on multicultural education by Kent State University. As a part of her dedication to lifelong learning and creating change in her field, Ms. Weber is currently pursuing doctoral study in STEM education at the University of South Carolina.

Ms. Weber began her education career in Ohio in 1997 as a mathematics teacher for Fairless Local Schools. She spent three years with the district before joining Green Local Schools as an award-winning mathematics and history teacher, departing in 2003 to accept a mathematics instruction role with Littleton Public Schools. Ms. Weber rose to become an assistant principal for Littleton Public Schools, and continued to build her expertise in educational administration as an assistant principal and acting principal for Denver Public Schools during the 2009-2010 academic year. In 2010, she became the Director of Mathematics, Computer science, and Instructional Materials for Boulder Valley School District, where she was responsible for redesigning the district computer science curriculum, a project that led her to realize her passion for STEM education.

Since 2018, Ms. Weber has been the president and lead curriculum and STEM consultant for JWC Curriculum & Instruction Consultants, and she has contributed to the development of curriculum for institutions including the Boston Museum of Science. She has been a computer science specialist and consultant for Grand Mountain Computer Science Integration School since 2018, and has been a major driver of the school's elementary computer science program creation and execution, including providing instructional coaching, professional development, and curriculum support. She considers her work with Grand Mountain Computer Science Integration School to be a career highlight, and is committed to creating a model of meaningful and transformative computer science curriculum for other districts to emulate. Ms. Weber is a member of the Computer Science Teachers Association, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Outside her work in education, Ms. Weber is the author of two self-improvement books and the former owner of For Neat's Sake!, a consulting venture. She is involved in community outreach through events with the Humane Society, local dog rescues, and Habitat for Humanity, and is an active congregant at her church. Ms. Weber remains excited about the future of education and looks forward to expanding her reach as an educational consultant, completing her doctoral degree, and possibly returning to a school administrator position in the coming years. In her personal time, Ms. Weber is an avid traveler with more than 37 countries in her passport and enjoys historic building restoration and raising fowl on her farm in South Carolina.
